Joni

I had a crush on Laura Petrie when I was a kid. Later, Emily Hartley. None approached, though, the passion I felt for Joni Mitchell. Didn't even know what she looked like, for the longest time—didn't matter—she represented what I considered the ideal feminine sensibility. She was funny, poetic, smart, and filled with light. And she could sing like—well, lets just say if angels could sing like Joni, they might deserve their reputations. She is sublime.
